Removing My Word

Rest, rest.

Rest easy, M people, for your time on earth is nearly done now and all has been prepared for your arrival here in heaven.

There are more hard times you must yet pass through to be sure, but I will walk with you through them and all shall be well in the end.

You are called to a great battle there in the earth as the Evil One is about to try to destroy My Word in the earth. It cannot be destroyed, however, and it is written on the tables of My children's hearts, so he cannot remove it completely. You will become his targets more than ever when this begins as he attempts to remove My Holy Word from the earth.

Remain strong, My children, for I am with you and those who walked before also suffered persecution. Many of My children do even now. Stay strong in your faith and all shall be well.

Matthew 24:35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Proverbs 7:1-3: My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

Ephesians 6:12-13: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

  1. Glynda,

As you were posting this word I happened to be studying the word "rest" specifically in Habakkuk 3:16.

I chose the NASB here because I feel it best conveys the thought concerning the prophet who must carry his foreknowledge of distressing events:

16 I heard and my inward parts trembled, At the sound my lips quivered. Decay enters my bones, And in my place I tremble. Because I must wait quietly (REST - H5117) for the day of distress, For the people to arise who will invade us.
    ...
18 Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord GOD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds' feet, And makes me walk on my high places.
    Habakkuk 3:16-19 (NASB)

  3. That's so interesting, too, because last year God again gave me a vision about my feet on high places. I had the same one day after day after day for about a week! I had my first vision about that in about 2002. Thanks for sharing this, Drew!

  4. Often in the Word we see both spiritual and natural interpretations. Valleys have to do with profaning the holy, or profane worship. However, in a good sense, mountains have to do with that which is above and holy. To make one's feet nimble on the high places has to do with a victorious life in the things of God, those things of good and truth.

In the natural we understand the prophet has foreknowledge of a coming disaster. But we also know from the prophecies throughout the Word that God will supernaturally spare his remnant from that same destruction. This is why we read in Amos 4:3

"You will go out through broken walls, Each one straight ahead of her, And you will be cast into Harmon," Says the LORD.

The word Harmon (H2038) means high fortress. The word cast (H7993) literally means to hurl. The remnant first observes the destruction of their land, yet remain unharmed. (Psalm 91) Then they walk out through broken walls. Then they are literally slung into the heights, or high places. In the natural this is why we see Habakkuk predict that God will cause his feet to walk in high places. And this is also why we see Isaiah describe the remnant descending like doves to their roosts.

"Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts? (Isaiah 60:8)

Of course, this only make sense when we understand that the end-of-age ingathering of God's people is a common theme found all throughout the prophecies:

Jer 50:4 "In those days and in that time," says the LORD, "The children of Israel shall come, They and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come, And seek the LORD their God.
Jer 50:5 They shall ask the way to Zion, With their faces toward it, [saying], 'Come and let us join ourselves to the LORD [In] a perpetual covenant [That] will not be forgotten.

In the days when your walls are to be built...

  6. Destroying His word - I see that so much already. My husband is a pastor and we have had several people tell us that the OT is unnecessary (and leave our church because we disagreed), and especially with some of the issues in the news today - it is very convenient to throw out as much of God's word as you can in order to justify whatever it is you want to do. Just read an article by a very up and coming "Christian" author that said that none of us do most of those things in the Bible anyway so we shouldn't stand up for specific issues, otherwise we're being judgemental. The comments on her article were "Brilliant", "love the argument" rather than repentance for having such a flippant view of God's instructions for us. It won't be hard for the Evil One to continue this destruction of God's Word - because we like getting rid of His instructions. Makes me so sad.

  7. ridding/tossing away the Word, by the enemy. But with individuals doing it for themselves, to themselves, is also part of the great apostasia/falling away from the faith.

the word is a lamp to the feet and light to the path, without it they stumble in the dark all the while insisting their on the path. But would they even notice they stumble? tossing away the Word is a hardening of heart too, stumbling speaks of knowing one stumbles-conviction by the Holy Spirit. Tossing the Word is attempting to toss the Spirit too (Jesus saying-My Word is Spirit and is life)and would they even be convicted of the stumbling? (stumbling=doing wrong, in error, adrift from Christ)

It's like Jesus talking with the blind pharisee, but anyone who is self strong..they said they could see, did not notice they stumbled around. Jesus saying, you say you see (of their own accord/apart from Him) but your blind, and your sin remains.

narrow straight road, wide road..would the devils road or worlds road or self rules road, being wide, wouldn't the devil make it flat and easy too, so some also say, the road is easy, I must be on the path.

some might say OT is not needed as the worldly mis-read and mis-use and mis-quote the OT, they try and use it as a weapon against God and His, this makes some christians uncomfortable..being still someplaces tied to the world (love of world)..they'd sell out the OT and portions of the NT in order to stop feeling uncomfortable, be accepted by the world. The falling away/2nd thess 2.
