I was shown a vision of a stormy sea – very large black waves were crashing down and wrapping around, crashing against each other. All around the waves I could see only darkness. It looked like the darkest of stormy nights.
The word ‘turmoil’ came to my mind. In the midst of the turmoil of all the crashing waves, a small light appeared, as over the horizon. Like an approaching ship or a distant lighthouse, but very quickly the waves swallowed up the light and it was gone. Then I saw a frozen landscape, as if in the dead of winter. I have no idea what the frozen landscape meant.
The following morning, the Lord began to speak.
Times are about to become very difficult in the world, My children. There is no time for playing games, all your time must be focused on preparation for what is to come and on walking in your calling. Remove now the excesses from your lives as I have been speaking to your hearts to do. Lighten the load you carry for you cannot carry as heavy a load on an uphill run and that is what is coming for you.
Big changes loom on the horizon behind the scenes that will affect your everyday lives.
Be careful to show kindness to each other, to walk in My love towards one another, as this will shield you from many of the attacks of the enemy and help you to remain focused.
I will be moving in many of your lives in coming months, orchestrating the changes I desire, to make you more fit for kingdom use and to strategically position you for the things I have called you to do. Do not fight against My changes for they are necessary and unless you submit to Me in them, you cannot be of full benefit to My kingdom.
Turmoil is coming to many governments in the next two months. This is My hand at work, though it will not seem so to many. Many of My own people do not understand the many avenues I work through. All that is of peace is not of Me, and all that is of war is not either. Nothing happens that I do not allow, and the enemy’s plans come as no surprise to Me for I see all and know all.
My Word holds the key to understanding all things. My Word is My most precious gift to you, My Children. My Word, My Son. If you walk by My Word, you walk in wisdom and the world has no effect on you.
Those who ignore the power in My Word will fall quickly in times coming for they will not know how to stand against the enemy’s onslaught on My people. Be diligent therefore in studying My Word, that you may live and not die. Those who have ears to hear, hear and obey.
I have sent many to warn of what is coming but many still walk in darkness. Many walk in folly, not believing. They shall be taken quickly, unawares, for they did not believe My Word. All you need to survive you have in My Word. In it is wisdom and guidance. In it are hidden treasures of great price that you know not of.
Those who obey Me shall survive what is coming. Yeah, not only survive, but prosper in it, for this will be the time of My great warriors. This will be the time of the lifting up, of the showing forth of those I have been preparing behind closed doors. This is your time, My chosen ones. Now is your time to shine before I finally bring you home to Me!
How I long for the day when you all enter into My rest and are all here with Me! I love you with an everlasting love without measure. I long to have you near Me, to hear your voice whisper My name, to know you trust fully in Me in all things. Draw near to Me and seek Me in these dark times and you shall find Me and we shall be as one. I will hold you close to Me. I will cover you with My feathers and as you see displays of My mighty power, you will not feel afraid at all for I shall protect you as a good shepherd protects the flock for you are Mine and I love you with a jealous love!
What is soon coming is the dark night of the soul for some – those who are not ready; A time of revealing for those who are. This will be My time to reveal to the world who you truly are in Me. Many will stand in awe of the gifts I have placed in you and of My mighty power working through you. Be sure you give Me the glory, My children. Woe to those who try to take My glory for themselves for destruction comes quickly to them!
Now is a time of much prayer. Pray that you may walk worthy through the turmoil that is coming. Pray that you will not be found wanting in any way. Pray that you will be ready to step in to all I have called you to do for My name’s sake. Pray that you do not stumble in the way, for the battle is quickly approaching. Pray for your brothers and sisters – pray for each other to be strengthened and made ready in every possible way.
In days to come I will begin to remove obstacles from your path that you may serve Me more fully and efficiently. Watch for these things to happen and inquire of Me about what changes I would have you to make at that time for when I do this, I have a purpose for what was freed up.
Some of you will hear from Me soon to move or to reposition yourselves for My purposes. Know that I will bring you the means and ways to do so when the time comes and do not fear for there is always provision on the path to which I have called you and to believe otherwise is to believe a lie from the enemy. If you have no provision, check that the path you are on is truly the way I have called you to go, for many times My children take a wrong turn and think I do not provide but this is never the case. I am a loving and faithful provider.
Hard times are coming, My children. Times like nothing you have ever encountered before, but I have already spoken provision for you into existence. Look for it for it shall surely appear.
Prepare well. Prepare to run the race set before you for My glory!
John 1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Matthew 13:9: Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Isaiah 45:3: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
Jeremiah 6:10: To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
Ezekiel 33:4: Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
Psalm 91:4: He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Luke 22:32: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Deut. 4:24: For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Isaiah 45:2: I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
Acts 12:21: And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. 22And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. 23And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
Thank you for this. The Lord does and will provide! When in doubt, remember "Fear Not" and boy is it tough right now. The confusion from the Enemy is so very strong right now, too! We must be very close to this coming to light if there is so much evil afoot.
ReplyDeleteGlynda,
ReplyDeleteI have checked in on your site from time to time for updates. Always interested in what the Lord is speaking to you. I have had a dream and its interpretation on my heart and mind lately, and told the LORD if you had an update on your site today then I would write down what was given me and post it. Sure enough you had an update on your site today, so here is the dream and its interpretation.
Fruit on a Plate, Vegetable Plate
I had a dream a few nights ago and have been asking for its meaning, which has finally been given to me.
In the dream I was handed a white envelope. When it was handed to me by what appeared to be a human hand, it was conveyed that what the envelope contained was of great importance to me and everyone else. I was disappointed to see that the envelope was already open, and its contents had been removed. Yet on the outside of the unsealed envelope was this phrase, “Fruit on a Plate, Vegetable Plate”.
Here now is the meaning of the dream given to me. First, the envelope was unsealed because the time is now upon us, and the Lord told me I will see it with my own eyes. Second, the contents had been removed because what was sealed up belongs for now to the Father and the one with whom the Father chooses to share it; that person being his Son.
However, most importantly, he said to remember the phrase given “Fruit on a Plate, Vegetable Plate”. He said, “I am the LORD your God. I am the one who conceals a great mystery, and I am the one who reveals the mystery in my own time. My people read my words through a veil I have placed over their eyes, and they hold closely to their interpretations of days ahead through that veil. What they imagine seems good to them, and their hearts are filled with love by my Spirit. They also long for the day of the LORD, as a result of their interpretations. But the plate they believe I am preparing for them looks like vegetables to me, and they look upon it as nourishment for their weary souls. However, behind the lightly thin veil and in accordance with my words, I have always had in mind a plate that looks like fruit. When my people see it with their own eyes, they will not understand it at first - it is not vegetables. But those who trust in me more than their many interpretations conjured up from generation to generation will through listening to the testimony of my Spirit (and through the outpouring of their souls); they will rejoice over the revelation of this great mystery, while the rest of the world is vexed. My plan is a plate of sweet fruit, and when you know it, when you see it with your own eyes; it will bring light to your eyes and joy to your soul. What you can only imagine for now is like vegetables but soon the Spirit will show you this fruit and you will be given understanding of it, so take heart! Take up this saying among you “Fruit on a Plate, Vegetable Plate”; especially take this up as a saying to encourage those who do not quickly understand what they are seeing, as it is not expected. Also, wait for the day of the LORD. Wait and do not long for it. Have I not said woe to those who long for the day of the LORD? Who do you suppose I spoke those words to other than you – my people? For surely no one who loves the world would ever long for my day. That day is coming now. It will be a day of darkness, not light. It will be like the sun went to its place for the evening, and the moon rose in its fullness to witness to the light of the sun for those who dwell in that day of darkness. But the moon will be turned to blood and the dawn will break. And when you see the ark of my covenant within my temple then know that my mystery has been accomplished and revealed to you. Let the one who hears say ‘Come!’”
Amen. Come, LORD.
Now just focus on what Glynda said about what God told her in this sentence:
ReplyDelete“My Word holds the key to understanding all things."
It is here where the Christian will find the most danger. You see, the righteous Christian will pick up the word called the bible and look to it for comfort and guidance and it is here where the Christian will be seeking "all" of his understanding. But this is the step that will send him over the cliff of deception.
I am here to inform you that your understanding is not "just in the bible." It cannot be according TO the bible. Here is where you'll find many a Christian recoiling in anger at my words and think he is being a good soldier for God as he bravely steps up to defend God's bible.
As I said in the last post, Paul warned in Acts 20:29 that wolves were going to infiltrate the church and the true teachings of Jesus were going to be altered enough to draw away their own diciples.
Then again in Jude 3,4, it says these wolves are now in the fold and have turned the grace of our God into lasciviousness.
People, the bible is informing you that the wolves have infiltrated the church well over a thousand years ago.
HOW YOU WILL DISCOVER a diciple of these wolves is when a preacher man or person tells you the bible is basically 100% correct. Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing is the warning.
I am here to tell you the bible is NOT 100% correct and if YOU as a Christian believe it is, then you are the person in Proverbs 21:16, and now dwell in the congregation of the dead.
Chief, Why do you say the Bible is not 100% correct? Please share with us.
ReplyDeletePeople, Chris's vision is basically telling you what I am trying to tell you.
ReplyDeleteChris revealed:
'My people read my words through a veil I have placed over their eyes, and they hold closely to their interpretations of days ahead of days ahead through that veil. What they imagine seems good to them, and their hearts are filled with love by my Spirit. '
These are the words of God to read:
Romans 11:
"7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
8 according as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see,
and ears that they should not hear unto this day."
I am telling you right now you are reading this scripture through a veil.
Look again at this part.
"What they imagine seems good to them, and their hearts are filled with love by my Spirit."
Here is where I have said the Christians are being deceived by the wolves and their diciples with words of tolerance for all and a message of love for all mankind. The Christian "imagines" this seems good but in reality its the message of the wolves.
Chris continues:
"However, behind the lightly thin veil and in accordance with my words, I have always had in mind a plate that looks like fruit. When my people see it with their own eyes, they will not understand it at first - it is not vegetables. But those who trust in me more than their many interpretations conjured up from generation to generation "
This is exactly what I am trying to tell you people. Do not trust in your preachers and churches to find the truth because of their interpretations from generation to generation are causing the Christian to see a false interpretation of Christs word, or as Chris said "they are seeing vegetables, not the fruit."
As I said before you must seek Christ to acquire the proper understanding. The veil has been placed over you by God Himself. The bible has been altered and therefore places the Christian who lacks understanding in the congreation of the dead.
So you are saying that the bible isn't what we need to be seeking answers in, it's our LORD JESUS the Word? Well that is kind of a punch to tradition isn't it? I'll pray for guidance on this and for any veil to be lifted. I admit to being blind in many things.
ReplyDeleteThe letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.
"Here is where I have said the Christians are being deceived by the wolves and their diciples with words of tolerance for all and a message of love for all mankind. The Christian "imagines" this seems good but in reality its the message of the wolves."
ReplyDeleteIndeed - They say peace, peace. When there is no peace!
If I am understanding this correctly, Chief you are arguing that scripture has been altered? Or am I misunderstanding?
ReplyDeleteIf that is the case, how do you account for the nearly 24,000 partial and full manuscripts of the Bible dating as far back as the 1st century AD... with no significant changes?
A prophet will NEVER contradict God's word. If they do, they are no prophet of God.
Now I will agree that men do twist God's word and create doctrines of men... that falls on us to compare their words to God's word... and to prayerfully discern them as well. Exactly why I wrote a while back as 'doubting Thomas' to Glynda.
Chief, I'll oppose you on this one. God's word is unchanged. Disregard it at your own peril.
As for being in 'the congregation of the dead', my Lord rescued me from death already and I've been made alive in Him. My confidence... my forgiveness... my hope... my salvation is all in Him. If that's not enough, then nothing is.
@ Chief- Would you consider that the veil that hinders true believers understanding of the Word is tradition? Even when Christians read the word they filter it through the "veil" of whatever their tradition dictates- dispensationalism, pre- millenialism, reformed, etc? I would think that this is a more valid complaint than that the Word is corrupted- though I would admit with the plethora of Bible version it is certainly a point of attack by the enemy. If God had not preserved a True Word then we would be left to discerning what was right in our own minds- hardly a reliable measure.
ReplyDeleteAgreed William.
ReplyDeleteTo said,
ReplyDeleteI am saying the word has been altered. Now as William so astutley pointed out, if you want to see the word of Christ altered just start writing down a list of the different Christian faiths and then ask yourself why there are so many? If you want to see the word of Christ altered just go to your local book store and start counting the different versions of the bible then ask yourself why does someone feel they have the need to write yet another new version of bible.
Now my words were exactly, the bible is not 100% correct. Meaning much of it is God's word and valid and there is enough in the bible to make most Christians content in their yearning for a relationship with his Lord.
But just ask yourself who controlled the bible for over 1000 years with an iron fist? Look no further than the Catholic Church. Now I am not insulting Catholics but just repeating some of their churches known history. Those who have researched the history of the bible knows that anyone caught with the good book during the reign of the Catholic church was given a date with a pile of logs and a torch. Or they were subjected to some other creative device used to spill blood and end their life.
The first crusade was in the early 1200's in southern France against the Cathars. When one of the churches generals asked the Pope, how can we tell a Cathar from a non-Cathar? Pope Innocent gave us the famous saying, "kill them all, God will know His own.
Even up to the 16th century the church and king had William Tyndale on the morning of 6 October 1536, taken to the place of execution, tied to the stake, strangled and burned. His crime? He wanted an English version of the bible.
Does this sound very Christian like for a church that had full control of the bible for well over 1000 years?
So some interesting questions seem to materialize.
Why was the Catholic church so afraid to let this bible out of their absolute control? Why would the Catholic church kill anyone who questioned their authority with regards to this book?
The astute person who has done the research understands that this church had something to hide. So today dear Christian when you open up the good book, gain the understanding that by historical default you are reading the Catholic version of the bible.
The bible is full of inconsistancies all one has to do is - do the research.
But my friends, I am not trying to tell you NOT to read the bible am I? I am not even telling you it is bad to go to church. Still one can receive blessings and spiritual satisfaction from a good church.
What I am saying is the Word has been altered and corrupted in some ways as told to you by the bible itself in the book of Acts and Jude. The Church of old was infiltrated by what Paul called "wolves" and today your preachers, priests, and churches follow the bible word for word fully disregarding the warnings of this historical evil infiltration of the original church.
Ask yourself why?
Also for those who believe God would never allow His word to be corrupted, then now consider what was the need this warning in Revelations:
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, Deut. 4.2 ; 12.32 God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
What this warning means is that man "has" the ability to add or take away from Gods scripture. If man didn't have the abiltity to alter the bible, then God would not have had to put His warning in it would he?
Interesting thoughts there, Chief. So I would like to know what part of Scripture you believe has been altered to the point that it has become false.
ReplyDeleteWell we already know the Catholic church put the bible together in the first place and rejected the books they didn't agree with. I would also think knowing that the controller of the book for well over a thousand years who slaughtered anyone who got close to it should cause plenty of reason for suspicion.
ReplyDeleteBut really anything I say here will be up for argument based on personal beliefs and prior understanding. As you should know the Christians point of reference would be any of the many different faiths all professing to be the true church, as well as a plethora of bible versions all claiming to be better than the last one.
I can only tell you it was fortold in the bible of the evil infiltration of the original church. We were told these wolves were going to manipulate and destroy the true and pure word of God. That even some of the churches diciples would be corrupted.
So some two thousand years later you will find todays preachers and priests teaching from a bible that has been tampered with by the wolves as told of by the bible and not one word from these men and women of God about this.
Isn't anyone curious? Isn't any of these clergy care that the bible says the word of the ancient church was corrupted? Its not rocket science that if the ancient original church was corrupted that today that corruption has been passed on to us.
The new testament has suffered the most from corruption.
Chief, I have to say that all I’ve read so far is conjecture. You are giving your opinion on things and on history but not providing any evidence. Yes, Jesus warned against false teachers. He warned about a falling away too (which did happen). But I sure don’t recall him warning about his word being corrupted. The Jehovah’s Witnesses do… as to the Mormons… as do a plethora of cults and splinter groups out there. In order to sway my thinking in this, you’re going to need to provide some sort of solid evidence to support your theory.
ReplyDeleteMy evidence lies with a number of good sources: the Septuagint; the Peshitta; the Vulgate; the Dead Sea Scrolls; and nearly 24,000 partial and full copy written manuscripts some of which date back to the 1st century. None of which, contradict what we revere today to be God’s Holy Word. The Bible has been translated into a number of versions, some of which may be heretical. I’ll agree with you there. But there are still solid, dependable translations we can count on to tell us the truth. I even have a transliterated Bible on a shelf around here somewhere that is a word for word translation… very interesting book by the way. It has the original Greek and Hebrew alongside the English translation and a Strong’s reference number for you to look up. If you are concerned about the Bible’s accuracy, get one. You can’t get more pure than that.
The bigger pressing question is this: If you can’t trust parts of the Bible, how can you trust any of it? How can you trust that Christ said what he said and did what he did? You can’t.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I will also disagree with the idea that we should not be going to church or listening to teachers. We need to carefully discern who we listen to, yes. You’re right about that. But you don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Find solid Bible-based teachers and listen. What if the early church had stopped listening to Paul? Or Peter? Or Barnabus? What if they hadn’t heard Hebrews 10:25 that warned us against failing to gather together as a church body? We find strength in one another. We help one another. We bless one another. And yes we learn from one another. By hiding out alone, we endanger ourselves spiritually. Proverbs 27:17 tells us that we sharpen one another (just like we are now). We are to gather together to bless one another and grow in God’s word. It’s important.

ReplyDeleteBoy you guys post long comments. I just want to say that I feel exactly the same thing as Glynda. I couldn't have written it down, but I knew it in my heart already. A lot of people are thinking we will be snatched away and not see any trouble. I think we are preparing for a great war, spiritually and literally. The Lord has been tugging at my heart with this EXACT same message. EVERY DAY. Through my work hours, through my evenings, in the night. Thank you for confirming this message.
ReplyDeleteDear sister in the Lord Glynda Lomax,
ReplyDeleteI read your prophecy "The Time of My Great Warriors" with a vision on the top. There was something in your vision that made me to write.
You saw in your vision that 'very large black waves were crashing down and wrapping around, crashing against each other', and later you went on, 'Then I saw a frozen landscape, as if in the dead of winter.' You said that you did not understand what your vision meant, but I think that I know.
In the spring 2005 I got a strong insight, an inner vision deep in my mind and spirit concerning an ice-shedding in Greenland, an outburst of the entire glacier. I wondered if it was ever possible and began to study the subject.
I wrote an essay and tried to get attention to my find but did not succeed. I tried to forget the whole thing but it did not leave me alone. Eventually, I decided to write a book of the subject, thinking that maybe it is God's will that I write.
I am living in the Northern Finland, that is Lapland, and have seen many ice-sheddings in my life. An ice-shedding is a phenomenon by which the frozen rivers shed their ice-cover in the spring. In my inner vision I 'saw' an ice-shedding starting in Greenland, so that the entire continental glacier with almost 0.7 million cubic miles (almost 3 million cubic kilometers) of ice would rush to the Arctic Ocean. It came to my mind that such a cataclysm could happen again, because the Arctic was warming.
I realized that the scientists are wrong when they say that the last ice-age, as well as all ice-ages, came by slowly crawling. However as I concluded, that kind of a phenomenon comes quickly, not slowly, causing a global destruction, and the Antarctic does not stay away from the game. Additionally, I understood that the Noah's flood started that way.
From one prophet forum I found a sister who wanted to help me by correcting my English, because it is not my native language. To keep this short, I wrote the book, the sister corrected it and the autumn before the last autumn. The name of my book, the second version, is Ice-Shedding of Ages.
Returning to your vision, when such a calamity comes like I have depicted, it pushes a sky-high, black water-wall before itself. The wall is pitch black like the front of the recent tsunami in Japan because it scrapes huge masses of black sea-mud along. Then the following surges are black giant waves, because the raging ocean looks black except the white crests of the waves. I have calculated that when the highest waves here and there pile upon each other, the resulting combined waves may exceed the height of the Mount Everest.
The giant waves carry all the enormous ice-masses of Greenland on them to all the coast-lands around, far to the inland and far to the south. It will be an instant ice-age. That way also the mammoths died, some of them having their last morsel in their mouth. There are many other evidences in the nature concerning this kind of a calamity.
But before the giant waves come, there is a so tremendous global series of earthquakes that the history does not know one like that, and it leads us to the seventh bowl of God's wrath in Rev. 16:17-18.
The discharge of a continental glacier, first in Greenland and then in the Antarctic, will cause such an earthquake and inevitably, it brings a global series of cloud-high tsunamis and a flood next to the Noah's Flood.
Sure, I have studied also the Bible concerning the new flood cataclysm and alluded many places there. It is fatal for the people to think that they know the Bible when in fact, they repeat again and again what some other people have said and written, not reading the Bible with an open mind and not allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and teach them.

May Jesus Christ help us all!

Said,
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you have been reading my comments at all. Secondly I never said don't go to church, in fact I said one should go.
* Its not my opinion that the Catholic Church slaughtered tens of thousands of people in Southern France for threatening their biblical monopoly during the first crusade.
* Its not my opinion that the Catholic Church strangled and burned biblical scholar William Tyndal in the 16th century for wanting an english version of the bible.
* Its not my opinion that the Catholic church ruled the Christian world for over a thousand years with an iron fist of death for anyone questioning their authority and control of the bible.
* Its not my opinion that Jesus warned that false teachers and prophets woud come as wolves in sheeps clothing.
* Its not my opinion that Paul warned in Acts that the church would be infiltrated by wolves who would corrupt the original church.
* Its not my opinion that Jude informed us that the wolves did inflitrate the church and corrupted it.
So today as Christians cling to the bible as a perfect word of God, they ignore not only Jesus's warning but the apostles warnings as well that the original church was infiltrated and corrupted. For some reason unknown to me they think they have somehow miraculously bypassed all the corruption and some two thousand years later while inheriting the same bible from their ancestors, they believe the biblical corruption somehow vanished when they were born.
I find that a display of perfect ignorance.
Sorry for writing so much but there was a lot to say... I realize most won't read it... too wordy. I tend to get on my soapbox on things I'm passionate about.
ReplyDelete. , There is no need to apologize. I welcome long well thought out comments - they give us all something to think about :-)
ReplyDeleteWell Chief, if they did pervert the Scriptures they did a pretty bad job of it. The bible speaks so loudly against many of their doctrines.
ReplyDeleteSince you do not trust the bible, whenever you read it, you must then be judging what is truth, and what is not. You are then left with your own private interpretation.
What part of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ is wrong? Or the turning from sin, and working out your salvation with fear and trembling is wrong? What part of helping the needy, and trusting in God for our needs is wrong? What part of loving God with all our hearts, minds, and souls and our neighbors too is wrong?
Yes we get on our theological/intellectual hayrides and try to figure stuff out. This leads to a lot of error I'm sure, but that's not the Scriptures fault. Man's interpretation is the error. And it creates a lot of division among God's people. Satan loves it.
The very thing your warning about is the very thing that has ensnared you, brother. As long as satan can keep you in doubt about what your reading, he's got you primed for deception. May God grant you repentance from this brother. My prayers are with you.
Keep your lives simple folks. Share the Good News with others, don't compromise God's standards in your life, and help the needy. We need to encourage one another as these days get to be harder and harder.
I leave you with these Scriptures from 2Tim 2:23-26 "Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel: instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will."
And 2Tim 3:16-17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." Amen
Brisr,
ReplyDeleteNow try not to put words into my mouth, I never said I didn't trust the bible. Those are your words not mine. But I am not the cherry picking Christian who picks only the scripture that I like and ignore the rest. I look at the whole bible. Again, I have said the bible is Gods word but again also, since I don't cherry pick my way to my theological beliefs I believe Paul when he said wolves were going to corrupt the church. Maybe this is where you choose to avoid that scripture. I also believe the book of Jude when he said, the wolves are in the church and are actively subverting the word.
So there may be the difference from myself and you. I believe the bible when it says wolves are subverting the word of God.
You I guess do not believe that part of the bible when Paul and Jude said the bible would be subverted.
I must say I much agree with Brsr -I will continue to take the Bible, prayerfully, at face value. If God can speak our world into existence, He can protect His Word from the changes of man/satan. Now, man can interpret it wrongly, attach wrong dogma, lead other men astray, even keep The Word from access, but I believe that the Bible is still the unerring Word of God. Chief, your comments have often edifying, but I agree that I will be praying that God will show you that He can and does protect what is His.
ReplyDeleteChief, the very words you say are corrupted you are using to defend your position on this. That doesn't make sense. Its circular reasoning. The verses that are being used are to warn us of the false teachings. Not that these letters were going to be physically altered to reflect those teachings. They don't. But man can take the words there and use them as he see fit. That happens all the time. That's what they are warning us about.
ReplyDeleteI'll take the physical alteration back, because there are cults that have taken the bible and perverted it. Making Jesus someone other than God. A paraphrased bible is a private interpretation. Translating into different languages is a very hard task. But I believe God will preserve His true word for His people. That's where we will differ. God WILL preserve His Word and His Spirit will testify to its truth. They go hand in hand.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing in the Bible that is leading me away from Christ, or into sinful living. Find me where it does and then I'll consider your notions.
Carol,
ReplyDeleteYou said God can protect His word from the changes of man or Satan.
If this is so then why did God warn man against changing His word in the book of Revelations as I already listed here? If God was going to protect His word from man then there would have been no need for a warning would there? What this says is man has the ability to alter Gods word and that is why God warned man not to do it.
Brisr,
I read your comment and its so void of meaning I don't even think I can help you on this one. Not trying to be abrasive here but on one hand you claim that the bible is not corrupted, but on the other hand you ignore biblical scripture that says it is.
Is this confusing?
Paul warns in Acts 20:29-30
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Then Jude confirms the infiltration.
....ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness,
Jude is clear for those who can hear. He says "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."
Again, "once was delivered unto the saints" this means Jude is saying it used to be delivered to Gods people but no longer is.
Jude continues:
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness,
So to some its clear. These men slipped into the church and turned the grace of God into lasciviousness. But in your mind the faith that was once delivered to the saints got famously resurected when you were born and now is delivered to you in the uncorrupted form.
But today these warnings just doesn't apply to the contemporary Christian.
I understand the need to cling to what your preachers and priests have taught you in your youth. Your family and friends all support you in this contemporary faith. Its comforting and reassuring to remain with what is familiar.
I am not trying to say the bible is not God's word because it is. I am only trying to relay the message that as God warned man not to alter His word, Paul and Jude warned they did.
To me the bible is clear.
Your interpretation is wrong. Men are coming in twisting the scripture, or even bringing in different ideas shipwrecking the faith of some, or even drawing them off into a different gospel, which is no gospel at all. You can live a life of sin because God's grace has you covered type nonsense. My bible doesn't lead me into these things, but warns me of them. Your bible may be corrupted, but mine is not.
ReplyDeleteChurches are already believing that God's Word is not all true, and the consequence has been a corrupted church. Immorality is now relative. You speak words that will cast doubt in God and His Word. And folks can believe what they wish about Him, and how they should live. Absolutes in morality are out the door. That's the consequence of your theology. You may be livin rightly before God, but there are those who will stumble greatly, and you will have to give account for it.
Ive seen this garbage before, and it is destructive. The very thing you are warnin about is takin place from your very mouth. You are subvertin peoples faith. Seeds of doubt in His Word is exactly what Satan wants. He's lovin the spread of this.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke you Satan for you are the Father of lies. You try to cast doubt into the minds of believers concerning His Word to His saints to ensnare them in sin. To make them ineffective in the work for the Kingdom of God. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God I pray, Amen!
Scribblerboy and Glynda here's a prophecy from Raymond Aguilera on 8/1/08
ReplyDeleteThe ice of the north will begin to move which will cause the water of the oceans to shift. The land that's near the water will be under water. For the waves that will hit the continent are going to be larger than the mountains you have on the Planet. Look at the water! Look at the wonders and signs that are going to befall this Planet. Look at the ice of the north. For it will begin to move as the axis of the Earth shifts.
And again the next day 8/2/08
There are going to be many earthquakes, many storms, many signs, many signs, the ocean, the ocean is going to move up and down, up and down.
Look at the ocean. Look at the ocean, and the ice, and the ice of the oceans is going to move. It's going to move, the ice of the ocean, the ice of the North and the South.
Oh please Brisr. If you cannot handle discussing the bible in an adult manner then don't contribute to this site.
ReplyDeleteNever once have I said the bible is not Gods word. Never once did I say one should not go to church. Never once did I in any way demean the name of Jesus. In fact I have repeatedly encouraged all to seek Jesus above their pastors when trying to discern the word of the bible.
Believe what you want. I am only trying to inform those who have the will to understand the bible that there is another side to the whole story that the clergy seem to want to avoid.
When you say I am trying to cast doubt on the bible this tells me you are not understanding what I am satying. If I was trying to cast doubt then I would be saying the bible is not Gods word in some way.
But just because you are upset over discussing certain bible scriptures that doesn't mean I will ignore them.
If I were you I would move on. I think this site is a little too deep for you.
Chief is right...In 1986 the space shuttle blew up because of an
ReplyDeleteO-ring. And the powers that be didn't want to recognize the problem until after the fact (Then heads rolled).
You have to really want to know the Truth, have a love for the
Truth:
2 Thes 2:10, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in the that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Just a couple of days ago I found an omission in the Fifth Printing Hendrickson Publishers Edition January 2010 King James. I was listening to a Converted Muslim Terrorist Walid Shoebat on
Prophecy 101: Islam and Satan -:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns2I2byKXVU&feature=related
He spoke of what the crescent (moon) is in Islam and where it came from. He referenced a verse in Judges that backed up other verses he mentioned. Well I had to check it out and my KJ Bible made no mention of it. Here it is:
Judges 8:21 Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and
slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels necks.
And
Judges 8:26 And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested
was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments,
and collars and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels'necks.
The I checked The Hebaraic-Roots Version Scriptures Translate out
of the original Hebrew and Aramaic by James Scott Trimm Published
by Institute for Scripture Research
Judges 8:21 Then Zevach and Tzalmuna said: 'Rise you and fall upon us; for as the man is, so is his strength.' and Gid'on arose, and slew Zevach and Tzalmuna, and took the crescents that were on their camels' necks.
And
Judges 8:26 And the weight of the golden ear-rings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold: beside the crescents, and the pendants, and the purple raiment that was on
the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their
camels' necks.
I read a statement written by Mitt Jeffords that said something to the effect that without the Holy Spirit the Bible is the Devil's playground. That is what I think Chief is warning us about.
Chief,
ReplyDeleteWell since you brought it up. Did you read any of the evidence I brought forth in my last post? How do you so quickly dismiss solid evidence? You didn’t even respond to it. So to quote you, “I find that a perfect display of ignorance”. And yes, I read your posts... carefully. If I misunderstood your comments about church then I apologize but the way you rail on pastors and churches makes it sound as though you are against them. Perhaps you are only talking about the modern churches that abuse God’s grace and tolerate sin. If so, we are in agreement. I’d rather not go to church than to attend one that tolerates sin or false doctrines.
As for your other bullet points…You lost me there. I didn’t even talk about most of them.
I'm with Brisr though and no, I won't move on either. Apparently, we've both struck a nerve here. It was never my intent to agitate you but it was to correct. Regardless, I will speak the truth so that others will not be led astray.
- continued-
The scriptures you have used to justify your argument for a corrupted scripture never even mention scripture. They speak of false teachers leading people astray. I fail to see why this is not plain to you.
ReplyDeleteYour argument is based on a faulty interpretation and conjecture… not proof… or even scripture for that matter.
I say these things not to hurt you, but to help although I have little doubt it will received as a personal attack. Regardless, I will answer the call of 1 Peter 3:15 and stand. If we disagree, so be it. But I will not run. I hope you don’t either. I'm more than willing to reason it out with you. Let's just not let Satan divide us all in the process.
Well, Said,
ReplyDeleteThis is how a discussion should be held and I appreciate your adult and heartfelt manner in which you handle yourself.
I believe before, I was trying to answer a few posts at the same time with one answer so I might not have answered yours fully.
I think you are a very astute person and I was avoiding getting into specifics for a reason.
These are the issues of my concern:
* Now it seems like you are saying the church was corrupted but not the word? So the original church members had the perfect doctrine but were led astray by people misquoting it which eventually lead to the corruption of the church? This argument sounds very weak on its merits because anyone at anytime could check the validity of the clergy at anytime.
* The Catholic church took control of the bible and basically slaughtered anyone who got close to it for well over a thousand years. So here you seem to believe that an (historic/not current) church with such a murderous corrupt history would be capable of protecting the word of God in its original form for over a thousand years?
* For those who say God would never allow His word to be altered why was a warning regarding just this put into the book of Revelations? This proves that God Himself knew man had the ability to alter His word.
So today when one picks up the good book and sees the contradictions in the bible such as:
* the ten commandments telling us thou shalt not kill but God himself orders the wholesale slaughter of the Amalikites.
* Or in Matthew Jesus tells His apostles to not enter into Sumaria in Matthew but in Luke He takes them there anyway.
* Or how John and Luke cannot agree on what Jesus's last words were.
* Or when Matthew and Acts cannot agree on how Judas died.
* Or who really was Josephs (Marys husband) father was.
* Or that the last twelve verses in Mark, 16:9–20, were not present in two original 4th-century manuscripts.
So today buried under this avalanche of negative history surrounding Gods Word and the dire warnings from the apostlies of old warnng of the corruption of the original church, you'll find the Christian with that churchy glazed smile saying the bible is Gods perfect word.
I personally find this biblical blindness totally irresponsible of todays clergy and men and women of God.
This is why I say the bible is Gods word but with the original church infiltrated by evil men, the glory of Gods pure word has been tainted. So listening to the clergy preaching from the book that has been altered but they believe it has not been, the parishner must seek Jesus for clarification of biblical scripture, because there is no way he can get it from an historically ignorant pastor.
You just proved my point with thou shall not kill commandment. There is a difference between murder and war. God called His people to war. People cannot take it upon themselves to take a life. That's murder. The rest of the discrepancies you mention are well known. My bible references them. Witnesses of an accident can give some different perspectives to the event. There can be differences. It doesn't take anything away from the scriptural truths.
ReplyDeleteYou are shedding a shadow of doubt over the scriptures that so many do, citing the very things you do. That's why we have liberal churches. They believe they're seeking Jesus and living just fine before God, when in reality they are apostate.
This is why I get upset. You are unwittingly being used of Satan to cast doubts, that leave weak Christians vulnerable to other ungodly doctrines, because they cannot trust the Bible. Or they will just pick and choose what they want to believe. Or just solely rely on their pastor for guidance. This may not be your intention, but its what happens.
The warning at the end of Revelation is for Revelation only. And I will again point out the teachings of the wolves who brought different doctrines saying Christ wasn't God, he wasn't resurrected, your saved by grace so live it up, your in anyway, or you have to follow the Jewish traditions, etc. You get the point. The apostles letters were partly written to counter this garbage. And the truths they presented are still there.
But as long as you continue to cast doubt(even if it's not your intention) over the Bible, many will end up deceived because they cannot trust the Bible because it has somehow been tainted. The very things in there to help us from being deceived are now doubted.
I do ask for forgiveness for getting hotheaded. But I will contend for God's Word. And praying for wisdom concerning scripture is what all of us should be doing, anyway. And not because the Word might be wrong, but for conviction, encouragement, guidance, etc.
Brisr,
ReplyDeleteReally? Unwittingly used by Satan. Again you just do not understand what I am saying.
As far as the do not kill commandment. I have no idea what you meant, again. Why I used that is that is the word that was originally used so my point is it is an incorrect word and has caused many problems with Christians in the past. You seem to only point to one issue I listed when I laid out many.
So if you knew about all these descrepancies how can you say the bible is perfect?
I will say this again and its getting old. The bible IS the word of God. The warnings from the bible said the church became corrupt.
So in your world when you were born, everything just biblicially straightened itself out for you.
Okay,
I think Chief has some valid points, however I believe that others are right in that more specific examples/evidence should be brought forth.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very dangerous thing to read the bible without the understanding that comes from the Spirit of the Lord (which is Jesus Christ). You can read the bible from cover to cover and come away with way more questions than answers and be more confused than never having read it. This is why James encouraged us when we lack wisdom to ask of God for He will give it liberally and to all who ask.
The church (I mean the organized church system of man) has many teachings that run contradictory to scripture. For example, the church's current teaching on tithing. Tithing was part of the Mosaic Law. Why should Christians practice part of the Mosaic Law today without practicing all the rest of it? James also wrote under the inspiration of God, "For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all."
This is exactly what Jesus was telling the religious leaders of the day during His earthly ministry. He rebuked them sharply saying, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone."
The scribes and Pharisees totally missed the point of giving the tithe and made it about strict obedience to law and neglected the fact that the tithe was meant to help the oppressed and less fortunate. The Christian who blindly pays tithes to a church is doing much the same thing today. How much of the money that goes towards tithes in today's church is used to help the poor, the widows, the orphans, the homeless, the jobless, etc.? Christians use the tithe as a way to make themselves more righteous than those who don't tithe or don't do it consistently. This is sin!
Besides all of that, the main point is that tithing was part of the Mosaic Law which has been fulfilled by the ministry of Jesus Christ. Paul fought with the Judaizers of his day to keep the Gentile believers free from the chains of following the letter of the Mosaic Law.
The New Covenant standard for giving is that God loves a cheerful giver and that we are not to give under compulsion! Paul wrote to the Corinthians, "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." Jesus spoke those words to the scribes and Pharisees because they were still under the Mosaic Law during his earthly ministry. Jesus, through Paul gave the New Covenant standard.
Today's tithing is the epitome of giving grudgingly for many believers. Christians believe they are earning brownie points with God for paying their bribes (tithes). Many believers do not understand that God's standards are much higher than the 10% we might pay in tithes. Jesus instructed the rich young ruler to sell ALL of his possessions and then he would be complete. Notice he didn't say to go to your local temple and put 10% of your earnings for the week in the collection plate not knowing what purposes your "gift" is even going to be used for. We are warned not to caste our pearls before swine for a reason!
This is why we have to search the scriptures to see if these things are true just like the Bereans. This is why we must study to show ourselves approved unto God... and rightly divide the word of truth.
This is just one of the areas Christians have been deceived. They read their bibles through and through and still do not see these things, because they have not sought to find out directly from the source if they are true!
I know this was long, but I hope it helps Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:
ReplyDelete10The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
The Spirit will guide and reveal to us His truth in His Word.
Boy, lots of axel wrapping, there is an old saying in the army, kiss, keep it simple stupid. I love to read My Bible.
