I have many words to tell My people, that they may prepare and be ready for what is coming, that they may not be caught unaware as the world shall for the coming of the evil one.
My people perish for lack of knowledge, yet they fill their lives with everything of the world and so little that is of Me or My word. Their televisions carry filth and yet they take it in night after night, filling themselves with sinful thoughts and worldly pleasures and this is not of Me. I am not at all pleased with this.
Why do you say you are Mine and saturate yourselves with the stain of this world? Do you not know? Do you not see that this displeases Me? That the enemy is gaining more access to your life through doors you open to him? Do you not understand that I am holy? Do you not see how his ways contaminate your thinking and thus your behavior?
Do not be deceived, little ones, into thinking I do not see or care when you avail yourselves of worldly entertainment and worldly pleasures, when your thoughts are filled with sin and lust and greed and murder.
Why are you not preparing in My word for what is coming? Why do you waste precious hours and days delving into the world when so much is at stake? Do you not think you will give account to Me for what you have done and all you have left undone?
As your mind becomes filled with the world, so your conversation follows and your actions. You look and act like the world, My children, and this is not pleasing to Me at all.
I desire you would spend more time in My presence, time away from the world and its filth, for it is contaminated by the evil one and is the path to destruction.
How I long for you to think on Me and My word and follow in My ways but you have turned aside to another whose intent is to destroy you.
Come back to Me so I can keep you safe, so I can hide you from the coming evil, so I can feed you in times of famine and speak comforting words to you so you will not fear what you are about to see.
Hosea 4:6: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
1 Peter 5:8: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1 John 2:15-17: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Proverbs 4:23-24: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Matthew 7:13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Joshua 1:8: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
John 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The Bible Say's he's coming for a spotless Lamb. some preach that every believer will be caught up to meet the LORD in the air. I don't see that in the Scriptures, if that was the case then why watch then.. No we have to be prepared at all times. Heaven is a Holy Place.. If Enoch and Elijah weren't in sequence with God's word neither one would of been translated, why else would Jesus say"
ReplyDeleteMr 13:33 Take ye heed, WATCH and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Mr 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to WATCH.
Mr 13:35 WATCH ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mr 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, WATCH.
Lu 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Lu 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Lu 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Lu 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Lu 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man
What are we escaping from here? To me it sounds like the Tribulation, because the Beast will come against God's Elect who weren't found worthy to escape, or stand before the Son of Man..
We all must pray that were worthy, and to live our lives like there's no tomorrow.. because truly he is worthy of all Praise and Glory.
Notice in revelation 13:5 the meniton of the "image that speaks" and is "causes' people to do things. This is the only time in the bible that there is an idol that 'speaks' in the bible. All other references to idols in the bible there is an emphatic point to say they don't hear or speak but are the works of men's hands.
ReplyDeletePeople believe that the Beast in Revelelation is a government or world system. So the point i am putting forth is that the television could be an image that represents the beast and causes people to do things. An image in your living room that speaks.

Krugman did an experiment when television was fairly new and found that as soon as a person turns on their television their brain waves go into alpha state in less than 30 seconds. This bypasses their critical thinking process. Alpha brain wave state is the state required for hypnosis. So basically the TV is brainwashing people to do things. It tells them what to wear, what to eat, what to believe politically, and that we came from green slime.
This is why after years of not watching Television, I am appaled that christians quote muslims (some guy named Dr Oz (sp?)) more than the bible. Or they quote New Ager's as authority (Oprah). You know if someone is quoting Muslim's and New agers more than the bible, they got it from television.
Turn of the tube. Turn on Jesus.
Conrad, You are so right!
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised when I meet Christians who are taken aback when I mention that I have not even owned a tv since 2000. In fact, they don't even ask why.
Although I'm not quick to offer this information, when speaking with worldly people if the subject of tv comes up, they typically want to know why.
From what I've noticed, I believe one of the reasons why some Christians are more aware today has a lot to do with the fact that we are not subject to the mind-numbing or 'programing' of tv. It's really obvious.
I'm thankful that tv was not an area I had to struggle with. God just changed me so that I no longer had any patience or desire for it. I can't make myself sit there to watch anything. When I am exposed to it now, at someone's house or a public place, especially the "News" Reporting, I feel a sense of disheartening.
Just as God's Word transforms us, so does tv conform us.
I think it's getting worse?
Excerpts from blog--Stewart Best
ReplyDeleteAnd so the question is not what you know you know, but does Jesus KNOW you? Let's take a careful look at Matthew Chapter Seven and one of the most deadly statements of Scripture:Matt 7:21-27
Now everyone KNOWS that these statements are NOT FOR THEM. It is always someone else - usually a neighbor down the road that is "so religious" it makes one vomit. Or then again, to the Catholics, it's the Protestants. In the Protestant view of things, it's those rotten dirty know it all CATHOLICS. Then again if you're a Baptist, it's those idiots down there in that new evangelical church down on Tranquility and Vine. Then again, if you are a Methodist, it's everyone else. Maybe people should stop pointing fingers and look long and hard into the mirror - for there is a strong possibility, very strong, say 99.9%, THAT ITS THE FACE IN THE MIRROR that this warning is given to.
Then again, they all KNEW WHAT THEY KNEW, and they were positive of it, so sure about it that it COULD NOT BE THEM. Jesus made a very terse remark that ties into the above remark about OBEDIENCE, which is very nasty, evil word in today's modern GOING TO HELL SALVATION THEOLOGY. He said, "Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and NOT DO what I say?" This remarks flies right over the head of the MANY, who cannot abide by any such request as that. But then again the Bible tells us in the Old Testament that GOD WILL PICK THEIR DELUSIONS. A delusion is something that MAKES YOU THINK YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW, BUT YOU DON'T. You know, you are POSITIVE, ABSOLUTELY SURE, but you SINCERELY WRONG AND DON'T KNOW THAT YOU DON'T KNOW. Then again in the Book of Revelation, we get another clue as to how dangerous it is to KNOW YOU KNOW BUT DON'T KNOW. It's like a virus, a sickness. It comes from apostasy but then again an apostate does not know he/she is an apostate, and is content with knowing what they know when they DON'T.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write...Rev 3:14-22
Here are a group of MILLIONS of Christians that KNOW THAT THEY KNOW BUT DON'T because they are APOSTATES but don't know they are apostates. They are positive and sure of their standing before the Lord and that they will have a great welcome into heaven. THEY WILL NOT. THEY WILL BE VOMITED OUT. They are LOST, BLIND. They KNOW NOT, but they think they KNOW THAT THEY KNOW.
I hear it all the time. I KNOW I"M SAVED. I KNOW IT ABSOLUTELY. So then, if you know you know, HOW do you know? In other words, BY WHAT METHOD do you KNOW? Do you know because you HAVE FAITH? Do you know because you BELIEVE? Do you know because you have convinced yourself you know? HOW DO YOU KNOW? Explain, please?
Excerpts-cont.from Stewart Best's blog--
ReplyDeleteLet's get back to Matthew 7. Notice how Christ responded to the millions of rejected Christians. "I NEVER KNEW YOU". That's it. Right there. Look it up for yourself, because it is a real zinger of a comment. He did not reject these Christians for any other reason whatsoever. He rejected them based upon one, and only ONE thing. He never came to know them experientially. He never MET THEM. He did not know who they were!!! How can that be? If you claim it s not true, then you are reading in something that is not there. He said what He said, and He meant what He said. HE NEVER CAME TO KNOW THEM, TO MEET WITH THEM, TO SUP WITH THEM. In other words, there was NEVER AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE LIVING GOD. It is not only denied today, it s called utterly SATANIC AND OF THE OCCULT. But Jesus said what He said. So I don't care what all of the "experts" HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT. I only care what Jesus had to say about it, and so should you.
But for now, the question really is, DOES JESUS REALLY KNOW YOU? And how do you KNOW he KNOWS YOU? And what is the real and actual testimony that Jesus Christ HIMSELF, came to the believer, supped with that believer? Spoke to that believer? Showed that BELIEVER THE NEW COVENANT OF DIVINE AGAPE? It is real? Could there be any such thing as this? Is there any such thing, or did Jesus just say that to scare us half to death? You better forget that you know what you know, and find out POST HASTE if Jesus really does KNOW YOU!!
John 17:1-3
You will find this EXPERIENTIAL KNOWING all over the Old and New Testament. Jesus clearly tell us what ETERNAL LIFE REALLY IS: That you the believer are to know GOD THE FATHER and JESUS CHRIST. So then, this question remains: DOES JESUS KNOW YOU? And do you know you know what you think you know? Good question. Just a passing thought to those with ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.
So why am I bringing this up now? Because you have very little time left before the AGE OF GRACE CLOSES DOWN AND THE DOOR IS SHUT. You see, the difference between the WISE VIRGINS and the FOOLISH VIRGINS was really only one of "OIL SUPPLY" to keep their lamps burning. THE WISE KNEW WHO CHRIST WAS, AND HE KNEW WHO THEY WERE. They had AGAPE LOVE BESTOWED UPON THEM, HE HAD MET THEM, and THAT was the EXTRA OIL SUPPLY. THE FOOLISH VIRGINS DID NOT REALLY KNOW WHO CHRIST WAS, AND CHRIST DID NOT KNOW WHO THEY WERE EITHER. It all has to do with the STRAIT GATE and NARROW WAY. It all has to do with the VAST and TOTAL DIFFERENCE between CONVERSION and REGENERATION. The foolish virgins were CONVERTED, but NOT regenerated. The WISE and been CONVERTED, ENTERED THE STRAIT GATE, WALKED THE NARROW WAY, MET CHRIST AND BECAME REGENERATED. It does not matter if you agree or not. Don't find out the hard way that CHRIST MEANT EVERY WORD HE SAID.
Have we had enough yet? I mean really?
ReplyDeleteWhat is this, the 3rd or 4th or 5th word we've received through Glynda-- all in the same vein.
Except now it's really in our face.
How do I know I belong to Him??
I'm broken hearted seeing how stuck we are.
1 John has given us all the prescriptive acid tests to know whether we belong to Him. It also shows us how to recognize the Laodeceans, the apostates the deceived and the deceivers.
The irony is 1John was written to those of us who 'believe on the name of the Son of God' so that we may KNOW we have eternal life, and
believe on the name of the Son of God'.
"And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we KNOW that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."
This is how we KNOW we belong to Him! He hears us! He grants our petitions! We KNOW this!
The next verse tells us, if we know Him, if we are spending time with Him, then this should be our petition:
"If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for them that sin not unto death..."
The time for words, preaching, fire and brimstone is past. We are not reaching the deceived, the apostate, the Laodiceans--our lost brothers. They are lost, they are blind, they don't know what they don't know--we get this.
1 John is telling us if we ask God for these lost, He will reach them!!
If we belong to Him we know this!
How can we be walking in repentance for ourself and our loved ones and not hear this?
How do I know I belong to Him? Because His heart is overflowing into me: Save my brothers, Save my family, Send workers for the harvest.
Oh Dear Ones: He hears us! Please don't delay. Claim every one you know, every one you see for the Kingdom of God!
Yes, sure, of course, God would well plead with us IF time is running out as it appears to be. not everyone is living for God. Some christians DO love the word more than god and know it--some in my own family too.
ReplyDeleteJust as with the prophets of old, He will keep pleading to all his people to make it right before God while there is still time. he may well say it in different ways too, and yes, in our face even,--whatever works to get our attention as it can be so easy to shrug it all off or wait for another day.
Just because it may not speak directly to you does not mean it is not an important word from the Father's heart. It definitely resonates with me, especially when I am tempted to give sin an open door. These words encourage me to keep fighting the good fight, to not let my guard down. I don't want to lose the ground gained as I more and more learn to turn my heart and ear towards him, and make him Lord over more and more of my life.
TY Glynda. I truly beleive your words here are directly from the Lord. There is a lot out there that I question but yours and johoshua's site bear true to me. Please keep listening to the lord and calling out to the church. judgment indeed does begin with the house of the Lord.
BTW, the more in tune I am with God, the better I am able to love and be a witness to those that still need to come to know him or know him better.
BTW, this is the Australina Jehoshua site I was mentioning. A very good word just posted too:
ReplyDeletehttp://jehoshua.com/. that site and this are the two I most trust coming from the Lord. They are also remarkably consistent.
Thank you Glynda for your postings & thank you VJM for your comments & the website of Jehoshua. Here are a couple of sites in case anyone is interested in reading them. I pray they will be a blessing to all. Words given are a compilation of those given many years ago & over quite a span of time as well as present words.
ReplyDeletehttp://donna-shalom.blogspot.com/
http://www.loveofthebridegroom.com/
Also, please check out a PDF online called poor lost christian---very revealing. It explains the whole counsel of the Lord & the difference between being converted & regenerated. Most people are converted, but not regenerated.
I'm not sure why there seems to be an emphasis on how many times a word of warning is given to Glynda from God for His people? It seems a bit harsh and slightly judgemental to me, let alone casting a finger. What benefit comes from doing that?
ReplyDeleteI mean no harm and don't intend to stir up emotions here, but all I want to say is we have NO CLUE as to where each person is at in their life, whether they're a Christian or not. To me, some people are harder and more difficult to "get through to" than others. Just because a few people grasp the message/word from God quickly doesn't mean everyone else does. Can we not keep that in mind before making such remarks?
to Hope,
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord! Just wanted to say that I agree! :-) Donna
VJM, I'm so sorry you misunderstood my post.
ReplyDeleteUnquestionably, I receive this as a legitimate Word from God through Glynda. I'm very thankful for her obedience.
My reference to 1John is that it is an acid test for those of us wanting assurance that we belong to Him. Once we have this assurance
then we also have confidence in His promises.
1John directs us to apply this confidence specifically to pull our brothers out of the fire. These are the brothers that Think They Know What They Know -- the ones that Donna's post is describing- the ones we run into all the time where we question their profession vs. their conduct.
My point is if you say you belong to God, why waste our breath dissecting how lost or asleep others are, stop focusing on the sins of the apostate. Dig in, take this word seriously and plead on their behalf, for God to free them from their error. Praying that their ears may be opened to receive a word like this.
1John tells us God will hear a prayer like this and grant our petition.
My heart breaks over this, because most reading Glynda's post will fall into one category or the other. We can recognize the ones that are not capable of hearing.
Our responsibility is to petition God on their behalf, because a sign of knowing God is believing He will answer this kind of prayer to reach these folks and wake them up.
We are our brother's keeper.
And this word is applicable to all of us.
Hi kathy, Wow! Between you and Donna. You gals are putting a lot out here. I read thru it but there is so much I just have to sift thru and focus on what is truly biblical. No offense. Just puttin' in my 2 cents. I want to say this for you. You have hit on something very important, and it can't be stessed enough. It is called Intercessory Prayer, and believe you me, it works. This is one of the strongest tools we have for individuals or even whole families that are not in touch with God. Not judging here, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if someone is living right or not. I'm just saying.... We may not have the right words or the right tone to get thru to someone we know; but if you sincerely pray for God to work on their heart; you can bet something is gonna change in their lives. I have prayed for God to get thru to a person that was really, really mean; and just sat back and watched things happen in their lives. One peson was very rebellious and had a wall built that no one could break thru. God broke thru and it wasn't pretty. If you pray for God to get thru to them no matter what the cost; he may have to bring them down to the bottom before they come around. Some may not. But what good are they if they gain the world and loose their soul. Stay Strong my Friends!
ReplyDeleteI understand what you are saying, Kathy. May I add, that is prayer is cetainly good as long as it's led by the Holy Spirit & sad to say, I think most prayers are not led by the Holy Spirit & also one must walk uprightly in order to have their prayers answered. God is not obligated to answer all prayer & certainly not when we would like Him to answer or even while we yet live, since He knows the hearts of those we desire to be saved. It's only the few who have ears to hear & eyes to see, no matter our fastings w/ prayer b/c we know we ARE in the days as Paul described in 2 Tim. 3.
ReplyDeleteI say, let's be realistic, certainly not limiting God, but spend much time w/ our Lord letting Him work in us His graces & transformations so that we can dispense Christ. Sad as it is re the many that are lost, yes,we continue to pray, to hope, to fast, to watch, to grieve w/ the Lord & be burdened w/ Him b/c we see so few responding. People are under a strong current & spell of Satan these days. It is definitely different in the atmosphere where the fowls of the air rule over this globe than it was a few decades ago. The watchmen are as Jeremiah. He kept on warning people over & over again but they did not respond.
Our battle is to be humble in the midst of all of this & continue to gain our strength from the Lord each new day & be discerning so we can know the will of the Lord. Please check Poor Lost Christian (PDF) in a google search. The many are converted but not regenerated & without regeneration, there is no salvation.
to mctread--Yes, I agree w/ the prayer of whatever it takes--as long as God delivers them from Satan, hell & death! It's hard to watch loved ones go thru tribulations as God works but we would rather have it that way, if only they would be converted so that the Lord can cause them to be born again & come to know Him! Always my hope & my prayer for my family. However, there are some that I have tried to pray for but there is no witness & so I let them go. God knows what He's doing.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that Donna! We have to be realistic in our prayers, don't we? I think about that when I hear someone pray for all the Muslim people to see the truth or like asking God to save all the rapist and murderers. It ain't gonna happen. I believe we need to be more direct with God and use common sense. I want to do what is pleasing to my Father. I want to show him love and respect. His blessings flow from that. May God bless you and kathy in your endeavors.
ReplyDeleteto mctread--Amen to your recent comment re prayer! I know what you mean about those general prayers for all, so not led by the Holy Spirit, so not specific, so not out of the heart of the Lord.
ReplyDeleteThx for the clarification.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I was just talking (via email ) to another christian about being prepared and how the church is often missing it. this person asked if I meant that the church should stock up on food supplies. Oh dear.
Donna, you hit on something that is really my heart- that my prayers would be EFFECTIVE, directed by the Holy Spirit. I don't feel they are that much and I am consecrating myself to Him. sure, i have areas of temptation but they are staying there, just as that, but i have simplified my life no end, have no TV, few possessions, and pray every night for an hour at least as well as through the day and so on but I will keep praying for God to more and more direct me. that is my heart's desire so that He be glorified with my prayers counting and really helping others, etc.
to VJM--I, as others who are serious about seeking God & letting Him transform us, watching & praying, agree. I too have not had access to TV since 1996, however, I do have the monitor so I can watch DVD's & VHS, many of which are educational, exposing the works of the enemy, etc. God has done a work in this area of my life. Simple life, praying, reading, walking, ever in a daily battle, burdened for the many who think they are regenerated but are not, ever needy but knowing God is eager to give strength in my weaknesses. God bless you richly in Him.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna,
ReplyDeleteIt took a while for me to get back to you. I wanted to read the link you recommended-PLC.
I checked out your blog- found your yearnings for Him and His words to you very beautiful.
Sounds like you are mature. For this reason, I feel free to let you know of my discomfort with PLC. I do not know the author, however, I am uncomfortable with what I read as a mixing of two principles. Namely the biblical salvation and righteousness message being mixed in with the life long submission to sanctification. Seemed like there were a lot of hoops to jump through rather than resting in faith in jesus alone.
I don't really want to get into a critique of the article. I always prefer to receive my Rock of standing from God's Word- not only because it's truth, but also the Word is alive, active, powerful... with the ability to impart.
Regarding your response:"God is not obligated to answer all prayer, prayer is good as long as it is Spirit led, etc." I don't understand why you generalized a very specific promise in 1 John 5: 13- 16, in effect watering it down.
I'm not sure whether you disagree with 1 John, or whether you did not read the entire context.
I would't want you to miss this most wonderful promise.
1 John specifies the qualifications for the confidence we can have that our petition of verse 5:16 will be granted.
This is one of the many "exceedingly great and precious promises" Peter talks about in 2 Peter 1: 3-4, through which we participate in The Divine Nature:
"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires."
This is loaded! Way too big to overlook. Through these promises we partake of God's Divine Nature. IOW, this is the road to intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
Follow the precious promises path, Dorothy. In which, 1 John 5:13- 16 is included. This is a very powerful expectation of our faith in Jesus, alone; as well as very relevant today.
to Kathy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. Re the PLC, I know from reading from this author that he is talking about the many who think they are saved, that sanctification is done once for all, but there is also a process of sanctification & that it is all by God's grace, however, we are the ones who must cooperate w/ the Lord & His grace along the way. I'll leave it at that. I'm sorry I wasn't more specific w/ what I meant re prayer. I meant that there are conditions to our praying as in 1 John 5:14-15 (asking accord. to His will) Psalm 84:11...no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (walk uprightly) 1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (keeping His com. & pleasing in His sight) Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: (regard. iniquity) Ezek.14:14 (whole chapter)Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD. There are hindrances to our answers such as unbelief or doubt, disobedience, unrepented sin, unforgiveness, & many others, etc. All is by the grace of God & let's remember that God is sovereign & also that He shows mercy to whom He will. Rom.9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. I had the meaning in my mind but did not write about it. I hope this clarifies it at least somewhat. Writing is good, but not always the best way to communicate. :-)
