I Am the Mighty Jehovah

I had just come out of worship in the wee hours of the morning when the Lord began to speak to me.

I AM the Mighty Jehovah - NOTHING is too hard for Me!

I desire to show My strength and My power, yet My people's faith is very small. Rise up, My people! Call on your God - Call on the God of Your Hope, the God of Your Dreams, for I am able to fulfill them all down to the last detail.

I AM the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - do you think Me small and weak? Why do you not believe Me for miracles?

Why are you not believing Me to heal your bodies, your minds, your marriages? Why do you give up so easily?

Why is it you are allowing the enemy to steal from you what My Word says is yours? My Son died to give you these things - claim them! Walk in all the victory His precious Blood purchased for you!

Claim your healing! Claim the salvation of your family! Claim your spouses for the Kingdom, your children, your workplaces!

Claim what is rightfully yours and all I desire to give you and watch your mighty God perform miracle after miracle for you, for I withhold no good thing from them that walk upright before Me!

Genesis 22:14: And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Exodus 6:3:  And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Exodus 17:15: And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

Psalm 83:18: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Isaiah 12:2: Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Psalm 84:11: For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

  1. Oh Glynda, you have no idea how timely this word is for me! At my wits end with my marriage this morning (after so many years of struggle) and in frustration I asked God, "What will You do now, Lord? I'm at my end. What will You do? I need You to do something here. What will it be Lord?" Totally at my end. Long story short, I believe & pray this is His exhortation and reminder, that He IS faithful and He DOES care, and He IS mighty to save AND He IS making all things new! Thank you for sharing Glynda, and thank You Father, I know that NOTHING is impossible with You. Amen.

  3. Hi Courtney. Yes He cares for us tremendously even the little things as well as the big. He that spared not His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things! praying for your strength and God's hand in things.

The last messages are good. faith..a gift..also like a talent as mentioned in the parable. well, I know it can be increased, love also a gift that came with faith and the gift of the Holy Spirit, can be increased and have a direction to go..stronger in faith and love and walking in the Spirit! Good words Glynda.

have been also thinking about lies of the enemy lately, off and on have listened to some, some since childhood, but being shown them now and re-learning, learning anew and re-claiming many things by Christ! Abide in Him and His word abiding in us, rejoice always!

  5. Glynda,

I'm nearly 40 years old and have been in church my whole life. But I didn't consider until yesterday that "good thing" in this context is defined by Jehovah, not us.

The struggle of the cocoon doesn't seem like good until we realize he needs to be strengthened. The struggle of adversity doesn't seem good until we understand what God is producing in our lives. Waiting until she was 90 years old to get pregnant didn't seem like a good thing to Sarah until we realize that God deserves the glory, not us.

This is why Paul said "I've learned that in whatever state I find myself, to be content." He learned to abound during adversity and blessing. In this way, all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose. Rom. 8:28

The heart of worship is bowing our will before God because we realize everything is under his loving control. As the reed bends in the wind, so we bow before the Holy One of Israel. The war in heaven was the result of rebellion...Satan lifting his will against God. But God looks on the one with a contrite and humble heart.

For all those [things] My hand has made, And all those [things] exist," Says the LORD. "But on this [one] will I look: On [him who is] poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word. Is.66:2

  6. Drew - So true, so true. The Lord has shown me so many times that something that didn't necessarily feel good when it was going on, actually was good, and I was always glad later for what came out of it! Thanks for posting this - it's a great reminder!

  7. Oh gosh, is all I can say Glynda, and thank you thank you thank you for being so obedient to God. I spent the entire day with a cousin I had not seen in many many years and we spent the better part of it talking about God - and this fellowship hasn't ended yet, but when he left around 4pm EST, I broke down in tears being so thankful to God for allowing us to share His love and mercy, His faithfulness. Then I felt the need to worship so I turned on my favorite music and got on my knees in the living room and just sang aloud with Christ Tomlin - "Lord I need You!"... over and over and then I received this Word... How blessed I am to be drawn to Him, to feel His presence, and to go through this amazing transformation. I love what Drew posted especially that last part: For all those [things] My hand has made, And all those [things] exist," Says the LORD. "But on this [one] will I look: On [him who is] poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word. Is.66:2 Thank you all for sharing your hearts and for bringing forth these words of encouragement and reminding us who we are in Him! To God be all glory and power and honor!!!!!

  8. Hello,

I've been praying for most of this morning and sensed an urge to warn you all to pray, stay in the Holy Spirit and pay attention to your surroundings and to ANY check you have in your spirit.

If you so much as have a check to "not" go to work, school, the store, church, down the street, or to stop and stay stopped at a stop sign for longer than you usually would, anything--pay attention! This is not a call to be paranoid. This is a call to draw closer to your FATHER who has your best interest at heart. Obedience is the word I keep hearing.

    Peace,

    Deirdre

  9. I give up so easily because it's not happening. I pray and pray and ask and ask for years, and still don't receive it . . . So I figure He just doesn't plan on answering this one.Oh, Lord. How can you say you want to give me healing, save my friends and family, and these other things, but yet you don't give me when I ask for them? I am weary of asking and waiting and seeing no difference. Especially when for 20 years our churches taught us to mock the "name it and claim it" practice. I haven't a clue how to "claim" these things. Why don't you just make it happen when I ask? I thought I DID have faith. Apparently not, though.

  11. Servant of Christ, God had a word for me when I asked Him where He had been all my life (after He drew me near). He placed in my heart that I was like the paralytic on the mat. In the gospel, no person who passed by the paralytic had the power, through exhortation, through threat, nothing was going to make him get up, no one but Jesus. He had to wait many long years for his healing (that was his cross to bear...) Also, St. Monica prayed for thirty years, and her son finally converted and became St. Augustine. Have faith your unsaved friends will be saved. Weep and pray for them, give alms and do small things with love on their behalf, and accept God's will for their lives. Trust Him. It's not easy at first, but it's like those bracelets I keep seeing that say, "God is BIG enough." He has all things in His mighty hands. It's hard to let go, but you will gain peace and freedom in your spirit. Once you do that, you will have more energy to do things God wants you to do for Him. Satan tries to keep people bogged down with worry and stressed out with anxiety over their families' salvation...I've been there done that. Blessings to you. Keep praying that He will place in the hearts of your friends and family to arise, take up their mats and sin no more.

  13. Hi servantofChrist also.
Paul said of himself..when..it pleased the Lord to reveal His Son in me(gal 1:15-16) also 1st cor 15:7-8.
It's worth a study and prayer.

often we pray for another and they get worse. some have to come to the end of themselves and their self strength..to see they have no goodness within themselves and no sight and strength to stand rightly, to see they need all of Christ and helpless and blind without Him.
Otherwise who knows, maybe they'd come to Him and end up one of those cultural and when convenient christians having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. Anyway for me, I got worse before I got saved, but started to listen to what some witnessed to me and remember what I'd heard in my past..so keep praying and speaking the word to them in love..love.

we can add in prayer asking the Lord to send a stranger or? to them, often they won't hear us as family, but a peer/stranger they may. also radio, even tv can have the gospel message, but all by and in the Holy Spirit. I've prayed that and friends would call and say some new client started witnessing to them and inviting to church just out of the blue, some even have had several "strangers" come to them. LOL-and for one friend the Lord sent born again bikers, so there's witnesses in every corner of society and hedgerow.

with healing-physical, sometimes it comes not as we thought and always God's timing and with things we needed to learn, the lessons being even more important then the healing. So look for answers as we do get prayers answered, but look at everything the Lord maybe showing, beyond just the physical healing. For me, if I'd been healed to be just as before, I'd no doubt be self reliant again, and such as going to do this or that and seldom saying-God willing-and not waiting for an answer after praying but praying then just doing it anyway. With being healed but some remains I'm dependent on the Lord daily to do anything and better understanding of letting go of my life/will and living to God in Christ Jesus.
Praise God for life changing injuries! give thanks and praise in all things.
