Backward

The enemy seeks to turn your focus backward , so you will not be properly prepared for what lies ahead.

(I saw in the spirit that by backward, He meant towards things, people, or activities in our past.)

Focus on each new day as it arrives. Do not wish for the things or people from your past. Know that I have provided all you need for now, and keep your focus on the joy of your salvation, of your walk with Me. And I will lead you on.

Now, more than ever, My children need to walk closely with Me. The end of this age approaches and only I can protect you, for only I know what is coming. I am the Lord.

Luke 9:62: And Jesus said unto him, “No man, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Psalm 35:9: And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

  1. Yesterday while running errands, had a conversation with a young man I met. He was somewhat depressed with his life situation. As we chatted, the conversation turned to Jesus. One idea I shared with him was that we are on a path to eternity. Sometimes we run, sometimes we jog, sometimes we walk but we should always be moving forward. The enemy comes along and tosses obstacles into our path but we learn to jump over them as we keep focused on the finish line (which for Christians is Jesus). We can not move forward effectively if we are constantly looking back. We can not keep from stumbling over the road blocks if we are watching behind us instead of ahead.

A few hours later at home I read this current posting of yours and was surprised to see you wrote about not looking back.

    Bless you.

  4. What a timely Word. Lately I've been drawn back to people or things in the past, missed opportunities, using up time and thought processes. And I'd shake my head and tell myself, "you aren't the Hebrews looking back at leeks and onions, you're not in the desert.". Or maybe I am. Since these Words over the last few weeks, challenges and mountains have come up, discouraging, and challenging whether we really were following God in the move He directed us on.

The enemy is ramping up trying to kill and destroy all he can. Thank you for faithflness. God bless.
