Do Not Cling

Forgive. Forgive and let go of past hurts, My Children, and new hurts as well. Your future has enough for you to overcome without bringing past wounds into it.

I have designed you to give forgiveness freely, but forgiveness is a choice. Just as you receive salvation by faith, so you offer forgiveness by faith as well. I will help you when the wound is too hard for you to bear, when the pain seems too much to let go.

Do not cling to sin and death, My Beloved, for I created you for life and love.

Matthew 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Matthew 18:21-35
21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Today i just watched jesse duplants video on envisioning your future and a main point he keept repeating was dont cheat on your future with your past because your past is to heavy for your future. Wow God is Good isnt He? Things like this get me excited because i know He's leading me. Amen

  3. Jesus spoke that parable before he died. That means He lived under Old Testament Law. And,under the Old Testament, is was incumbent that the transgressor forgive those that had wronged him, in order to be forgiven. In the New Testament, the tables have turned. God deals with mankind as a loving Father, full of grace & mercy. In fact Paul now says in Ephesians 4:32 " Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you " and in Colossians 3:13 " Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you "

So the whole idea here is that God forgave you ( past, present, and future sins ) so why wouldn't you forgive others ? The difference here is important. You forgive others and can ONLY forgive others because now you HAVE BEEN forgiven. And without God forgiving you first you CANNOT forgive others anyways in your own strength because every time you would fail. Please note God does not re-condemn you and rip away your salvation if you fail to forgive because the Bible simply does not say that. When you are saved by Jesus Christ it is a done deal and your salvation is secured for eternity. You are his sons & daughters. However, not forgiving someone after being forgiven yourself is just plain stupidity and shows tremendous immaturity as a believer.
