Gird Up

My children, I know you grieve for what is coming in your world. I do not desire you would allow your grief to distract you from finishing the work I have called you to.

Do not, like Esau, throw away your birthright for a bowl of food when that time comes.

Gird up your loins and run the race that has been set before you, as your time on earth is nearly done. I will soon return to get you and bring you home.

34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

1 Peter 1:13-14
