Release What Is No Longer Useful

The Lord had been speaking to me about clearing the clutter out of my work space  and getting rid of old things, and getting my house in order, and I was praying over what He wanted me to do when He began to speak this word to me.

Tell My children the time has come for them to release the old and step into the new I have for them. Many of My children cling to the old in their lives because they fear loss. They fear regret, and they fear doing without. They are not trusting Me, the Holy One of Israel, for all things as I desire for them to do.

My children, do you not know the lateness of the hour? Do you not know all I have called you to accomplish in this hour? Do you not see that you cannot move forward while clinging to the past? You must release what is no longer useful in your lives to Me.

Trust Me to complete the good works I have begun in you in this time. Do not stand idly by, but do not fear either. Walk hand in hand with Me and I shall accomplish all I desire in you.

Many of you are in situations I did not intend for you, which are of your own making. Listen carefully for My voice and leading on how to proceed, that I may bring you to a place of fullness of purpose and blessing.

Matthew 9:16: No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

Luke 5:39:  No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

II Timothy 1:7:  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Phil. 3:13:  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Luke 9:62: And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

  2. That is exactly what the Lord has been saying to me. To literally get rid of the clutter in my house and old things that I have hung onto. Now the light has brought more meaning to that. Gotta get rid of some things in the past!
    Good Word Glynda!

    Blessings

  3. Materially, I am not at all cluttered-- very, very simplified into a small place BUT I'm wondering how to reconcile this word in light of what God has been telling me through various means? Perhaps this word applies to some and not others? I don't know. All I do know is that rather than leave the past behind, God wants me to hold onto his promises of full restoration and reconciliation from the brokenness and such there. How can I let go of those things when those are there very things He has said he will restore? He does not want me to move on and forget those things but to see them transformed and healed. Too many truly miraculous miracles and signs to indicate otherwise from the Lord here. One could say that holding on is hindering but what is one to do when God says to hold on and believe?

  4. i can atest to this, but not in physical as much as mental cleaning. Old coping mechanisms, thought patterns and relationships are being rearranged. How i relate to HIM has been fundamentally altered. More than anything, it has been an exercise in learning hear Him more clearly. The loss of the old and the distractons has left me trembling, bare at His feet, but i must learn to hear Him more clearly in order to not be given over to delusion. There is some element of that in there, realizing that the old is a delusion or something. He is doing some major shuffling of the body for sure....God bless you all!

  5. Praise Jesus, Glynda

I've been impressed for a while that Christ has been saying to let go. What a confirmation.

The time is coming, and has come when you can no longer cling to the former because the former has passed away. Christ has a new thing for you for the times that He has prepared in advance. Many people pray for revival, for repententance as a country, so that we can have our old lives back, the old "glory".

The US will fade away, God has a new thing for you, total dependence on Him. We will need His strength and provision just to exist along with being able to minister until He comes, very, very soon.

  7. Deirdre - Something very similar to, I think. I just posted a video day before yesterday - it feels to a lot of us that war in the spirit like we have hit burnout or something. It's here if you haven't seen it:

As I read this the phrase "grid up your lions" kept coming to mind. In biblical times that phrase meant "to have their minds in constant preparation to discharge the duties, or to endure the trials of life".

In the coming shaking we need to clearly understand what is important, and be willing to leave everything else behind. As Hebrews 11:13, and 1 Peter 2:11 says we are pilgrims and strangers on earth.

    God Bless

  12. Speaking of the "shuting down" or depression "thing"
I have a hospital ministry--have had it for years.I also help teach a class on Healing on Sunday.
Lately,I just don't want to go in and do either one.
I feel like you--something Huge is about to happen.
We may be in the "lull before the storm."
I also believe that this is the time to rest in Him while still working.
Those who perserve will be rewarded with a greater annointing.
