I was praying early in the morning time and begging the Lord to help us financially, as we are laboring under a very heavy burden at present that we cannot save ourselves from.
Suddenly, the Lord reminded me in my spirit something He taught me years ago, in the wilderness - that beggars don't get answers, Believers do, and that in times of crisis in the past, He never answered my begging, only when I stopped begging and cast whatever my care was onto Him did He grant my request. Including when I begged Him to send my husband.
I felt strongly in my spirit there are a number of you the Lord wanted to know this, as you have been begging Him as well for what you need. He wants you to know, as He did me, that we are His children, there is no need to beg.
Only ask, and believe. Leave it in His hands, and stop thinking about it. Then He will answer.
May Jesus bless you all abundantly today and may your day be filled with sunshine and all the delight of living for the Lord.
Amazing word !!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing revelation He gave you. Thanks for sharing and I am edified by this. Glory to God!
ReplyDeleteI have been begging for many things as of late... mostly to do with friends and family to come to a knowledge of the nearness of the times that we live in... for peoples hearts to be thawed and softened to know the Love of Jesus and to recognize that He could return any day and on that day, EVERYTHING would be changed... in the twinkling of an eye and all these earthly things that concern and worry us will be meaningless. I need to know that the Lord has heard my cries and he will act to do the things that I desire from my heart. Thank-you and God Bless
ReplyDeleteThank you, just what I needed to hear today as I went through a trying moment dealing with a personal matter
ReplyDeleteShalom
Many times I often "beg of Him" or "Plead with Him" for my needs and desires. I need to just believe Him, cast my burdens on Him, and not worry or think about it. Thank you Glynda. Praise Jesus!
ReplyDeleteI know the Lord knows our needs even before we ask...thanks for this message today.
ReplyDeleteWow I really needed to hear this. I know the Lord is speaking to me. I felt like I've been begging God to open the doors for me this month. But in my spirit I have doubts that God would say no to my petition. So I have been in the flesh lately. These past couple of days have been so hard. I know I have to repent for my disobedience and doubt I just want the Lord to answer my prayer because I can't do it without him. All I need to do is believe. Thank you Jesus. God bless
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean I shouldn't ask Him at all during my daily prayers in the night and morning and just not think about it at all?
ReplyDeleteNo..He wants us to 'ask' and then believe we'll get it what we're asking for. .He doesn't want us to 'beg' from Him. It makes Him feel bad that His children beg from Him.
DeleteIf you have children. .do they beg you for things? Do u like it? I think you answer their requests when they just 'ask' for it. .as opposed to begging for it.
The Lord wants you to know that He wants to treat you as a child of His. .but not like a beggar. There's a difference.
As a child. .you have faith and the knowing that whatever you ask according to His will He'll answer to you. But you beg if you have little to no faith that you'll get what you ask and so that's why you beg cuz you figure if you scream loud and long enough so to speak. .that you'll get the answer.
But He's saying. .no. .don't do it that way. .pray. .ask and know I'll answer you and leave it to Me.
Cuz it puts Him down when His Children 'beg' things of Him. .it makes Him look like a terrible Father then. And He's not terrible. .He's amazing and Great and full of Love. Hope this helps.
I know for one that when my children beg me to do something for them, I for sure won't do it cuz I hate that they're 'bugging' me to do something. But when they ask me nicely and I know it's something that they truly need, I delight in getting that request fulfilled for them cuz I know they're going to be thrilled when they get it fulfilled. That gives me great joy as a parent to help my child out in that way.
So I think that that's what the Lord is referring to.
God bless you.
Thank you :) that makes sense to me
DeleteYes Glynda.
ReplyDeleteI also have keep myself reminded of...
"25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Wow N8te! That's about the 3rd or so time I've seen that passage of Scripture this week. God is talking to me! Thanks for sharing. Shalom.
DeleteThank you sister. This message was for me.
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks Glynda! I needed to hear this. It really made me stop and reflect on the fact that my prayers the last two weeks consisted of begging and whining. Thanks for setting me straight. God bless you!
ReplyDeleteYes!!
ReplyDeleteThis Word was for me, too.
I thank You, ABBA, for giving us this Word. This makes sense.
Hallelujah! The devil is a liar and will NOT win. I am under yet another "trial"
That's okay because it's all for the GLORY OF JESUS.
Amen.
Wow this applies exactly to how I have been today! Thank you so much and everyone reading this be BLESSED in the mighty name of Jesus
ReplyDeleteThank you for this word Glynda. I too have been struggling with casting my cares unto the Lord. I need to learn how to stop worrying about everything, and leave it all in God's hands. It is just so hard because of all of the uncertainty, and the waiting that is involved. Patience is not an easy lesson to learn, and I'm also struggling with doubts and fears. There have been so many trials and set backs, and I just want all of the obstacles to be removed so that I can move on to the next level with my life. Please keep me in your prayers. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! How many times have we heard the saying- "We are all beggars before the throne of God"? I almost thought it was scriptural? So I looked up "beggars" & discovered the word isn't in the bible. However, "beggar" is 3 times, in all cases in a past-tense manner or change. (1 Sam 2:8, Luk 16:20, 22.) Once I visited a small church notorious for hosting past revivals, & the pastor was in great oratory prayer this one Sunday, as she begged the Lord for His glory to fall again. We all went forward to stand, & while all eyes & ears were on her & her magnificent prayer petition at the podium, a humble little 'ol elderly lady standing next to me began to quietly speak in tongues, and then in plain English, but everyone who heard her acted annoyed at her noisy nuisance & ignored her message- "IF YOU WILL RAISE YOUR HANDS AND WORSHIP ME RIGHT NOW, MY GLORY TRAIN WILL FILL THE TEMPLE". But no one heard her message, and they didn't get their revival... Rick/AK
ReplyDeleteThank you and God bless you.
ReplyDeleteIt nice to have reminders to help keep us on track to Eternal life with the One who Created us and Love us.
Please try to enjoy The Creator's Creation today and everyday in Jesus name. Amen Praise be Jesus now and forever. Amen
May be after each petition we should say Amen (meaning I believe.)
Again, I looked up "begging" in the concordance and discovered there are only 3 verses in the bible where this word is mentioned. 2 for a blind beggar, (not yet a healed believer), & Psa 37:25 where it says- "I have been young, and now am old; YET HAVE I NOT SEEN THE RIGHTEOUS FORSAKEN, NOR HIS SEED BEGGING BREAD." I've been trying to prove the accuracy in this verse for several years now in my small personal ministry to the homeless here in Alaska. We have a few of the homeless beggars in our mall parking lots that beg for hand-outs & live in the bushes. In all the cases that I've helped with money & shared Words with, so far, all claim they are ‘Christian’, but at the same time in some way deny JESUS or stubbornly disobey His Word or Commandments, & so therefore are not yet true BELIEVERS, or followers. There has not yet been one 'God-loving' obedient exception, tho they often write "God Bless" on the bottom of their cardboard signs asking for help... Rick/AK
ReplyDelete@Malachi Cloud. I think here is a good way to look at this Malachi. Imagine you have a very close, very dependable and trusted friend. The friendship is so solid that when you need a favor all you have to do is ask and they would drop whatever they are doing to help you. There is no need to beg. In fact begging would demean the relationship. In return you would do the same for them.
ReplyDeleteThis is the relationship God would like to have with us.
Yes, you're right. Thanks :)
DeleteSo needed to read this word today, Dear Glynda, so much has been breaking down in my home and i haven't the funds to put it all right as i'm already in debt too much on the c/c.
