Overcomers

My people, you are called to be overcomers in the world around you. Why are you not overcoming?

I have given you all you need to overcome every sin, every obstacle, every area of lack in your lives. You need only look into My Word and avail yourself of My promises and you shall have victory.

What are you allowing that is stopping you from overcoming? I desire you would overcome.

Romans 12:21  Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Revelation 2:17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

James 1:14  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2 Peter 2:20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

  1. Why am I not overcoming?Its very simple.I just keep lying to myself.I will do great for a while and then I tell myself hey I need to have some fun,I need to feel good because everyone else is doing this or doing that so why not me?You can put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig.The same applies with sin.I believe in my heart that time is very short and I can't keep playing this game,I must choose right now to Overcome and be what God intended me to be-a Prayer Warrior for Him, and with his help, I can and I will Overcome!Amen!

  2. So how does one become (and stay) an "overcomer"? Only by putting Jesus Christ, our walk with Him, first in our lives can we be assured of keeping our faith secure. To "overcome", we need to continue doing all the good things we know we should do, the things the Bible and the Spirit tell us to do: keep praying consistently, keep reading the Bible regularly, keep learning about the word from a solid source of teaching unfailingly, and keep believing and applying to our lives the truth God has given us to learn as if our lives depended on it - for our eternal lives do. The only way to secure our victory, is to continue to move forward spiritually, deepening as far as we are able every day our relationship with our Savior (2Pet.1:10). If we are truly consistent in all this (and continue to pursue sanctification: Heb.12:14), then our victory will not only be secured, but also bountifully and wonderfully provided. For the outcome of all these things will be an abundant crop of production for our Lord, 100, 60 and 30-fold, with which He will be well-pleased when we stand before Him on that day (2Cor.5:10). And if we take this route, we can rest assured that all these promises of Revelation will fall to our lot (cf. Rev.21:7):
