My children,
you must be on your guard. I have told you that you will once again be tempted
with old temptations. What I did not tell you is this time these temptations
will come disguised as something else. You must be aware at all times, that you
do not fall into the enemy’s snares.
Examine
closely every temptation that comes to you and be on your guard. If you are
watchful, you will defeat these temptations one by one and be stronger for it.
Remember I am
with you always.
1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour:

temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

13 There hath no temptation taken you but
such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be
tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to
escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
