It was early morning and I had about 4 days work loaded onto that day’s schedule, with no hope of getting even half of it done. I glanced at my Prayer List and was wondering if I could skip it for one day…
You will
use the time to pray or you will use the time to fight off the attacks. You
choose.
Wow, so I
could act now by praying ahead of time or react later by having to fight battle
after battle, but passivity would never be an option.
My
children, you are so careless with your time. You see prayer as expendable when
it has never been more needful. You see your hours as unimportant when just one
hour can completely change the course of someone’s life, if only you will apply
it to intercession.
You pray
for Me to bless you, yet you do not the things I repeatedly request that you do
– intercede for the lost souls I so wish to save.
You
neglect these, and prayers of protection for yourself and your loved ones even
as the world around you grows darker and more evil by the minute.
Job 42:10 - And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when
he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had
before.
1 Timothy 2:1 - I exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all
men;
James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray
one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much.
Ephesians 6:18 - Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints;
John 15:7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you,
ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
James 5:13 - Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is
any merry? let him sing psalms.
John 14:13 - And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that
will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every
thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made
known unto God.
Romans 8:26 - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, which are called by my
name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their
wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will
heal their land.
Luke 18:1 - And he spake a parable unto them to this end,
that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think
toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an
expected end.
Matthew 6:7 - But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions,
as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much
speaking.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.
