Which Tool?

I was praying for saints and listeners who I know are going through difficult times and facing terrible obstacles when the Lord showed me a flash vision.

I saw a saint with a box of tools. He was smiling as he combed through the tools finding just the right one to overcome a mountainous obstacle in front of him. As he quickly overcame the mountain, he smiled even more and kept moving forward. Another saint sat nearby, crying and anguished. He also had a tool box, but his was unopened.

I have set before you all you need to overcome every attack of the enemy, whether it be against you or someone you love, but so many of My people never open their box of mighty tools I have supplied for these purposes.

My children, do not cry to Me to fix what is wrong when I have already given you all you need to overcome. I will not answer your prayer if it is not in line with My will for you and My will is that you would also learn to overcome the enemy.

Why do you neglect so great a gift as these I have given you? Why do you cry to Me when I have already given you all you need, but you refuse to use it?

I saw another flash then, this time of a child who wanted something drawn on his paper. He had the pencil, but refused to pick it up and draw with it, crying for someone else to do the work for him.

Look at what you have, for all you need is there before you. Which tool will you use to defeat the enemy who distresses you?

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Ephesians 6:11-13
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Psalm 144:1  Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

Revelation 2:17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

  1. This sort of fits in line with a dream I had yesterday.
I and my husband were walking in what looked to be a wilderness area and there were several more people there and I felt anxious. I kept hearing people say "they're releasing the Lions" and I began to worry because I didn't have any supplies, I had forgotten my backpack. As I looked to my husband, I realized that he had our supplies on his back (being the head of the family). I could see some people on the ground in hammocks sleeping under blankets and some who had what looked to be high tree stands up off the ground. We kept walking (in a hurry now) and we came to a very large tree and on it was a note that said "I left this here for you, everything you need is here. All you have to do is put it together." So we began to put the tree stand together and I could see that there were lions roaming about so we hurried. Just as we were putting the last piece together, a lion began to slash at us, but we were just high enough so that it couldn't reach us. We climbed into the tree stand safe and secure and the dream ended.

A few things the Lord revealed to me were that I didn't have the backpack because I and my husband are one flesh, we are a team, but he is the head which is why he had our supplies. The people on the ground in hammocks are those living comfortable lives, bringing supplies for comfort only... not knowing there was no protection at all. The Lions represent the devil (who is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour). The note on the tree was from the Lord. He already had a place prepared for us and the supplies to set it up, we just had to make the effort to put it together. The trees and itself represented the Lord, His safety and security.
Another note, upon waking I heard "The Lord is your high place."
This is so encouraging for those who feel what's coming. Just be still and know that if you are pursuing the Lord, He has a place of safety for you, a high place where nothing can harm you. I also believe this had something to do with the remnant because the majority of people were on the ground while only a few were in the trees.

God bless each and every one of my brothers and sisters in Christ!

  2. This was a most appropriate message. I know how to deal with the enemy, have Ephesians 6 in my memory....and yet often do not use these tools as the FIRST line of attack. Thank you, Lord, for your Word, for the power we have in You, for messages like this that remind us that we are in a war and the weapons we have at our disposal are effective when we UTILIZE THEM.

  3. First Glynda, many thanks and blessings to you for your prayers for those of us who are struggling. This word resonated with me... I know I have the toolbox and either don't open it or I use the wrong tool for that moment. I'm definitely the one with the pencil asking someone else to do it for me!! ~sigh~... but I guess I'm confused in that when I read messages about God restoring and moving in mighty ways in our lives, I take it to wait for Him and He will show His glory??? Many thanks again!!

  4. A slightly different translation, but one to consider...
Psalm 8:2: Out of the mouth of infants and of sucklings thou hast perfected praise, because of thy enemies, that thou mayst destroy the enemy and the avenger.

  6. To caisig: That Psalms 8:2 is a powerful weapon. When I was a babe in Christ, I had a witchcraft attack...pretty serious one. He was from Africa, posing as a preacher but was actually an Apostate. He was sending much trouble to me and I had not the understanding and wisdom to escape it. I was led by the Lord to Praise God. As I did, God inhabited the praises causing demons to flee; and the preacher was exposed. His eyes rolled up into his head and all you could see was the white part...and he walked funny too.. like a contorted and lanky demon possessed bird. So weird. He couldn't disguise himself anymore. He tried to point his finger at me and to issue more curses on me, too. He tried everything..even to curse me with flies, but at the end of the day the flies returned to him and there were thousands of flies swarming to him. In regard to the Praise..it was months of built momentum until it became worship. So that weapon of Praise is excellent when we don't have the wisdom or understanding. At this time I was baby and couldn't have survived it. I was up against the spirit of Anti Christ and in the Name of Jesus, even as a baby God worked through me to slam that thing down!!!! Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. That was the right weapon for that battle. There are many weapons for the different terrains we find ourselves in. Have fun with that. I did. It was the best storm of my life because of the intimacy with the Lord. After the battle, the Lord sat me down and gave me times of refreshing in His Presence and He taught me what I had been through.
