My children fear the valleys. You fear hardship and suffering, yet it is suffering that strengthens you against what is coming. Suffering teaches you compassion and relying on Me in your suffering builds your faith in ways nothing else can.
Though I
often take something from you to allow the gift of suffering in lives that have
never known it, I give you back a gift of immeasurable value in your faith and
your relationship with Me.
My
children, if you will start trusting Me now, you will find this new test is not
so difficult as you think. This test will reveal to you your great need of Me
in new areas. You will rejoice as you learn to trust Me even more and see I am
faithful to you.
You will
rejoice even more as I give you back gifts that can only come from Me. Learn to trust Me.
NOTE: This word made me think of the plants I raised indoors and how I learned you cannot keep seedlings alive for long indoors unless you put a fan blowing on them. The reason is because without the adversity of the wind, their stems do not develop any strength and as they get taller, they simply fall over and die.
Isaiah 26:3-4
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed
on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is
everlasting strength:
33 But
seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.
34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for
the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his
eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect,
stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are
not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there
be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Isaiah 43:2
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee;
and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through
the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Psalms 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD
delivereth him out of them all.
