Your Worship

My People, the attacks against you are many, and will continue to increase in their intensity, for the enemy desires to distract you from your  work for Me, and to steal your joy from each day.

Your joy in your salvation is a type of worship that he abhors, for he desires to have your worship for himself. He desires you would worship anything but Me, the One True God.

Be careful that you worship what you think, that you have not gone after other gods in your hearts. Ask and I shall reveal all truth to you in this matter.

John 4:24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 4:22  Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

  1. In my Bible studies I have been pondering a "pure heart" and all that entails.

Psalm 51: Create in me a pure heart.
Psalm 24: Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
Matthew 5: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
1 Samuel 16: But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees;for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

The Lord looks at the heart, searching for its purity. For example: Are we doing "good works" to have others praise us or to purely worship God?

The purity of our heart makes all the difference. Thank you, Glynda, for this word.

  2. Glynda the first sentence of the last paragraph "Be careful that you worship what you think" is that right, or a typo? I was thinking it might mean don't worship what you think. Just looking out for you :-)
